Choir

The choir is a friendly, cheerful and committed group of people, who do very well considering the increasing age and diminishing numbers of the members!!

Like many small church choirs, we are suffering from the fact that we have no young singers coming forward to enliven us and lift the sound with their young voices. Having said that, I am very proud of my choir, who come faithfully to a practice every week (except for family emergencies and occasional holidays) and do a very good job in leading the worship every week.

We can’t always sing in 4 parts these days, but we usually manage 3-part harmonies, and if we know there won’t be many of us for a particular Festival or service then we work on achieving as good a unison sound as we can.

Rehearsals are from 7.15 to 8.15 every Tuesday – in the Parish Rooms in the winter months and in the church from about May till September, depending on the weather.

If you would like to come and sing with us (whether you have sung before or not) you would be most welcome.
