KICKs - 17 February 2002

Sadly, our Junior Church group is not running this term. This is not due to a lack of children as we had up to 10 attending regularly, but due to a shortage of leaders. SEE KICKS NEWS

It’s KICKing! That was the verdict from this energetic bunch of children at St Andrews Church in Kildwick. They got together to celebrate the launch of their new Junior Church to be known as KICKs (Kids In Church at Kildwick).

“We want the children to come along and have fun.” said Elizabeth Figg, one of the team of leaders. “Christianity is a very joyful religion and we hope to reflect that in our sessions.” They certainly seemed to be doing just that last Sunday when they enjoyed a Big Brunch followed by games.

Joseph Horsfall (5) from Crosshills was amongst the youngsters taking part. “It’s great!” He said, “I really liked playing the games and we saw a film about Jesus in the desert and talked about Lent, which we’ve been doing in school too.”

All Primary School age children are welcome to go along to KICKs, which meets most Sundays in St Andrews Parish Rooms Kildwick, during the 10.30 service. For more information please contact Elizabeth Figg on 01535 633307.
